ALWAYS ONE STEP AHEAD

August Häussermann founded the company Lamellen und Kupplungsbau August Häussermann (LuK) in Esslingen between Weinbergen and Neckar 95 years ago. The mechanical engineer, and former assistant to Robert Bosch, recognized the market of the future in the fledgling automotive industry; he wanted to play a decisive role in turning the wheel here.

Just a few years later, his son, Dr. Kurt Häussermann, developed the first European disc spring clutch, thus instantly revolutionizing the driving comfort of the automobile.  Thanks to innovative process optimization and entrepreneurial skill, Ingo Häussermann Senior, the founder’s grandson, was able to firmly establish the family-run company’s precision disc springs in the high-end segment of the automotive industry and to develop the company HÄUSSERMANN into the sole supplier of numerous international construction and agricultural machinery as well as automotive manufacturers and first-tiers.

FOURTH GENERATION

An innovative spirit, passion for high-tech and a lot of diligence and understatement have been the driving force of the Swabian “hidden champion” for 95 years.

The company is now managed by the founder’s great-grandson, Ingo W. Häussermann. His aim for the future is to harness a visionary inventive spirit to develop technically ingenious solutions for customers’ most challenging problems and also to excel in new markets with exceptional innovations.

Since the start of 2022, he has been supported by his fellow Managing director Tobias Griebel, who primarily focuses on the expansion of the international and new markets.

OUR COOPERATION IS BASED ON VALUES AND VALUE CREATION

We want to impress our customers and partners.  We know from experience that this is best achieved together with all those involved in the projects and processes. We therefore consider ourselves to be your service partner.

When we help you to be more successful, we can and will benefit together and share in the success. A win-win for everyone.

This philosophy is the foundation of a beneficial development partnership with our customers, which is based from start to finish on fundamental trust – in professional, organizational and human terms. In many projects, for example in the drive technology sector, the development cooperation usually lasts many years. The right “chemistry” and right “wavelength” are important parameters here. It simply makes things run more smoothly. The earlier we are involved in the engineering process, the greater the added value we can collectively generate.
